Physical Connection

Roles: link, chain, anchor, connector, joint, bond, attachment

The domain of physical joining — chains, links, bonds, ties, knots, and anchors. Connections can be rigid or flexible, direct or mediated, and they can break. The structural vocabulary maps productively onto abstract relationships: social ties, hyperlinks, database relations, causal chains. The frame emphasizes both the connection itself and the possibility of disconnection — a broken link, a severed bond, a missing anchor.
