The broad domain of mechanical and electronic computation. Parent frame for more specific computing concepts (programs, data processing, abstraction layers). As both source and target domain, computing is unusual — it borrows metaphors heavily (bugs, viruses, memory) while also exporting them (processing, bandwidth, bandwidth as cognitive capacity).
